My story

Why I started Luravita

For more than seven years, I sensed something was off with my health. My symptoms were intense, yet I kept hearing, “Everything is normal.” Eventually, I was referred to a psychiatrist because my doctors dismissed my physical concerns. It felt like that episode of The Golden Girls where Dorothy is bounced from doctor to doctor with a mystery illness, only to be told, “It’s mental,” and that she should try dyeing her hair blond.

When you feel so unwell and are continually told you’re fine, self-doubt creeps in. However, I knew what I was experiencing was real; I just needed someone to help me understand it.

My first breakthrough came from an unlikely source: my eye doctor. During a flare of scleritis, an inflammatory eye condition, my ophthalmologist recognized an autoimmune connection and urged me to consult a rheumatologist or endocrinologist. This led to the discovery of two autoimmune diseases.

It may seem strange, but finding the cause of my symptoms was a relief. After years of searching for answers, I finally had a reason to move forward. Collaborating with a functional medicine doctor provided the support and guidance I desperately needed.

My passion for natural health and healing became deeply personal through this journey. I felt compelled to help others still searching for answers, feeling unheard, or unsure of where to go next.

I also learned how costly this search could be. Functional medicine can demand thousands of dollars on top of existing insurance. Feeling better shouldn’t come at such a high price.

That’s why I founded Luravita: to make wellness accessible, understandable, and practical for everyone. It’s a space to learn, feel supported, and take the next step without the weight of figuring it all out alone.

About my pricing

Real support, without the high price tag

Quality support should not come with a doctor-sized bill. Here is how I keep my prices accessible.

01
Why doctors cost more
When you see a doctor or nurse practitioner, part of what you pay for is their license: the ability to diagnose and prescribe. That matters when you need it, but most people who come to me aren't looking for another prescription.
02
What you're paying for here
Time, attention, and a close look at your labs, explained in plain language with practical next steps.
03
When a physician's input is needed
If a question calls for a physician's perspective, I consult one myself, and I cover that cost. You get the benefit of their insight without the high price tag of a doctor's visit.
04
No insurance, no packages
Everything is cash pay and booked one session or review at a time, with no long-term commitment.
